Private Telehealth Psychiatry for Delaware Residents

Expert, Concierge Mental Health Care for Students and Professionals

Finding a psychiatrist in Delaware who offers the privacy of a boutique practice while maintaining the clinical rigor of a major medical center can be difficult. Whether you are navigating the high-pressure academic environment at the University of Delaware in Newark, managing the demands of the legal and financial sectors in Wilmington, or seeking consistent care from your home, I offer a standard of care designed to be unhurried, private, and entirely centered on you.

Academic Excellence Meets Personalized Care

My approach is deeply rooted in my work at Tufts Medical Center and Temple University, where I currently serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor. I bring the same evidence-based, cutting-edge approach to my private practice that I use to mentor the next generation of psychiatrists.

Having trained in high-intensity academic environments, I have a particular understanding of the stressors faced by the University of Delaware community—from undergraduate and graduate students managing academic burnout to faculty balancing research and teaching loads. My practice bridges the gap between academic expertise and a compassionate, concierge-style approach to mental wellness.

Why Choose Private Telehealth in Delaware?

By operating as an out-of-network, private practice, I ensure that your treatment plan is dictated by your health needs, not by the limitations of an insurance company.

  • Seamless Integration: Whether you are in Newark, Wilmington, Dover, or elsewhere in the state, you can access top-tier psychiatric care without the commute.

  • Proximity to In-Person Support: For patients who require in-person evaluations, my physical offices in Center City Philadelphia and Ambler, PA are an easy drive from Northern Delaware. This hybrid model offers the best of both worlds: convenient remote follow-ups and a reliable physical location when needed.

  • Enhanced Privacy: Your clinical records remain confidential, without the requirement of sharing sensitive notes with insurance adjusters.

Specialized Care for Delaware’s High-Achieving Population

I specialize in treating conditions that frequently impact ambitious professionals and students, moving beyond "one-size-fits-all" medication management:

  • ADHD & Executive Functioning: Moving beyond simple prescriptions to comprehensive, goal-oriented strategies that help you thrive in demanding academic and professional environments.

  • Anxiety & Burnout: Specialized support for the unique stressors faced by University of Delaware students and busy professionals, focusing on sustainable wellness.

  • Treatment-Resistant Depression: Exploring evidence-based, compassionate alternatives when standard treatments haven't provided the relief you deserve.

A Direct, Transparent Approach

My practice is designed to be the opposite of the "high-volume" clinic experience:

  • Extended Appointments: 60-minute intakes and 45-minute follow-ups ensure we never rush your care.

  • Direct Access: No navigating complex phone trees or administrative hurdles. You work directly with me.

  • Insurance & Reimbursement: While I do not bill insurance directly, I provide a monthly Superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement. Most patients find this a simple way to utilize their benefits while maintaining the quality of care they expect.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely. Telehealth is an ideal fit for the modern student’s schedule, allowing you to prioritize your mental health between classes, during exam seasons, or while balancing extracurricular commitments, without the time-sink of traveling to an office. My practice offers the level of sophistication and privacy that university counseling centers, which are often overstretched, may not be able to provide.

  • While most of our work can be done securely via telehealth, some medications or conditions may require periodic in-person evaluations. Because my practice locations in Philadelphia and Ambler are highly accessible from Delaware, we can easily coordinate your necessary in-person visits to ensure you remain in full compliance with all regulations while enjoying the benefits of remote follow-ups.

  • My practice operates as an out-of-network provider to protect your privacy and the quality of our clinical sessions. I do not bill insurance directly, but I provide a detailed monthly "Superbill" that you can submit to your insurance plan (including plans that cover Delaware residents). Most of my patients are able to receive significant out-of-network reimbursement through this process.
